Country Combination of hill country, forestry and farmland from the Black Mountains to Neath valleys, Swansea valley and the spectacular Gower peninsula. Hilly and wide open heather land.
History Founded in 1962, registered in 1963.

The first home of the hunt was in a small mining village in Banwen, at the top of the Neath Valley. The first kennels were located in a disused lamproom of the village pit, kindly loaned to the hunt by the late Sir David Evans-Bevan. Founded as a true "working man's pack", the Banwen has been at the forefront of the hunting debate since its inception.
